The Hunger Games (2012)

The Games Will Change Everyone

Film Summary

The Hunger Games movie synopsis:  In a not-too-distant future, North America has collapsed, weakened by drought, fire, famine, and war to be replaced by Panem, a country divided into the Capitol and 12 districts. Each year two young representatives from each district are selected by lottery to participate in The Hunger Games. Part entertainment, part brutal intimidation of the subjugated districts, the televised games are broadcast throughout Panem. The 24 participants are forced to eliminate their competitors, literally, with all citizens required to watch. Katniss Everdeen, a 16-year old from a poor territory that was once Appalachia, becomes a gladiator in the reality-show.

No, it's not like 'The Gladiator', in fact apart from them fighting to the death for sport they really have little in common; I know, I've seen that movie a million times and unlike most of you little kids I understood the background story.

Just watched it today; firstly, this movie is so much better than wrath of the titans, so don't let your silly friends convince you otherwise.

This was a good movie. The acting was way better than any of those silly Twilight movies. Jennifer Lawrence killed it. She was very good. Great performances also from Woody Harrelson, Stanley Tucci and Elizabeth Banks. I look forward to the upcoming sequels.
