Since Universal is sending the high speed action bonanza Fast & Furious 6 into theaters this weekend, it's the perfect time to tout their racing drama Rush from director Ron Howard and starring Chris Hemsworth.
The ‘Rush’ trailer shows off the greatest strength and the greatest weakness of director Ron Howard: there is no such thing as a Ron Howard movie. He’s a chameleon, able to effortlessly jump from genre to genre without a hitch in his step…but he also has no distinctive personal style, making his work dependent entirely on the people he works with.
Chris Hemsworth and Daniel Bruhl lead the fact-based drama about the epic rivalry between Formula One drivers James Hunt and Niki Lauda. The new trailer eschews the inspirational angle from the previous domestic promo in favor of more philsophizing about the looming shadow of death.
