At first, DreamWorks Animation's pseudo superhero infused tale Turbo didn't look all that impressive. But the more footage shown in trailers, the more creative and impressive the story and animation seem to be.
Over the past few weeks, as marketing for the animated racing snail movie has ramped up, we've seen several people arriving at the site after searching for the trailer for the "animated snail movie", which seems to be a frequent search term.
The new trailer offers a look at some of Turbo’s human supporters, including optimistic Tito (Michael Pena), pragmatic Angelo (Luis Guzman), and brash Kim-Ly (Ken Jeong, playing a woman).
In addition to the stellar talents already mentioned, Turbo also stars Bill Hader as Indy 500 champ Guy Gagne; Samuel L. Jackson, Maya Rudolph, Snoop Dogg, Ben Schwartz, and Michael Bell as Turbo’s snail buddies; and Michelle Rodriguez, Richard Jenkins, and Kurtwood Smith as other assorted humans. The film lands July 17.
